Our ag experts weigh in on fall auction season inventory
Over the next couple of months, we will be conducting farm auctions and complete dispersals throughout western Canada and the United States, featuring some of the most premium, low-hour and well-maintained equipment you will find anywhere.
Site auctions that will include excellent line ups of agricultural equipment, include: Saskatoon, Grande Prairie, North Battleford, Edmonton, Regina, Lethbridge, as well as Kansas City, St. Louis and Fort Worth. Our Ritchie Bros. ag experts Jordan Clarke and Rick Vacha give us a quick rundown of the harvest season and preview info from the new Fall 2017 Agriculture Auction Guide.
Clarke:growingRegina auction shines among fall ag lineup
“We are extremely excited for the fall auction season to commence,” says Jordan Clarke, Sales Director, Agriculture – Western Canada. “We have a great lineup of retirement auctions and complete dispersals to sell off-the-farm throughout western Canada, and our permanent yard sites within the same region have some of the largest inventories we have seen to date.
“Our Regina auction on November 2, for example, will be the largest November farm sale we have held and might exceed our largest ever at that site. Our staff is excited to get back out on the prairie roads, as we typically don’t conduct farm auctions through harvest and we are all missing what we love to do! Auctions are in our blood and the farm auction business is a great way to interact with our customers. We hope to see you at a sale.”
Vacha: IronPlanet offers more choice for ag equipment buyers
“We are gathering some great inventory for IronPlanet’s Daily Marketplace,” said Rick Vacha, Sales Director, U.S. Agriculture East. “This platform enables us to offer equipment on-demand, allowing buyers to make offers or buy now. The Daily Marketplace allows the buyer and seller to exercise some control over the price, but with confidence that is iconic to Ritchie Bros.
“Our Daily Marketplace is the natural evolution for Ritchie Bros. and Iron Planet to become the ‘one-stop-shop’ for buyers and sellers to find what they need and transact business in a manner they prefer. Check out current inventory at ironplanet.com!”
